- There's the classic feathered type, English name guinea fowl, raised commercially by Julie Johnson of Tres Sabores (best known for excellent Zinfandel). Noisy, but tasty roasted.
- Then there's the vinous type made by Villa Ragazzi. Faraona is our super-Tuscan blend of 75% Sangiovese and 25% Cabernet Sauvignon, so named in honor of a first encounter in Monforte d'Alba with a delicious roasted example of the feathered type.
