On the same day, scant hours apart, two people tasting our 2009 Sangiovese independently exclaimed "This would be great with chocolate!" One of them was Mr. Villa Ragazzi himself, a known chocoholic and therefore not to be trusted; the other was a first time visitor who loves Sangiovese and chocolate. Hmmm, I thought, perhaps there's something to this. It turns out that both were talking about dark (bittersweet) chocolate, which even I will occasionally nibble on. It's reputed to be healthy, just like -- ahem -- red wine.
