It's been quieter around here since the night of Sept 27, when our Cabernet was picked. There's nothing grape growers appreciate more than a longterm, evergreen contract to sell grapes to a quality-oriented partner like Robert Mondavi Winery.
The weather is cooling off, at least here in Napa Valley. We should soon be able to ship the wines we've been holding for distant, patient buyers who didn't want to risk having their Sangiovese cooked in transit. (Those in a hurry were willing to pay FedEx for refrigerated trucks or even air freight.)
